Introduction
The White House is a building that is used for the official working in the United States of American president, it is a principal workplace reserved for the president for his official working. This building is placed in the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. This building White House was built in the year of 1792 and in the year of 1800, of white-painted Aqua sandstone in the late Georgian style, and this building White House has the residence of almost all the American president since the John Adams. In the year of 1801, when Thomas Jefferson went into in the house then he made some very remarkable work, he expanded the building of the White House in the out ward side with the help of the famous architect Benjamin Henry and he also made two colonnades those are especially made for the stables and for the sake of storage.
History of White House
The house of the president was an important feature of Pierre Charles the major plan of establishing the federal city, Washington D.C. So far as the establishing of the White House is concerned, then we can see that the architect of the White House was chosen through the fair competition and the name of that architect was James Hoban; he presented nine different proposals for the federal city. In the year of 1792, the first present of America visited to the federal city to make a judgment. The first president of America was not very much pleased with the submission of the Hoban. It was the view of that time president Washington that this submission was not up to the mark; it was his view that the place was very small, not having all the ornaments and it was not very much fitted with the grandeur of the president lodging. On the president wishes, the place was enlarged in the thirty percent; it was also added with the reception hall that was very large. An East room was also added in the White House. The reception was made with the full of dignity, it was made with the inspiration of the reception room of the Mount Vernon.
Construction
So far as the construction of the White House is concerned, it was started in the year of the 1792; withy the cornerstone placed in the very beginning and at the starting of the construction, there was no formal ceremony was held at the setting of the cornerstone. A lot laborer had taken part in the construction of the White House. So far as the foundation of the house is concerned, it was built by the Afro-American, enslaved and the European worked for its completion. The sandstone wall was made by the immigrants of the Scottish; these all immigrants were employed by Hoban.
Executive Residence
The original residence of the president is present in the center of White House. There are two colonnades—one is placed on the east and the second is placed on the west side—designed by Jefferson, both these now serve to join the East and West Wings.
West Wing
In the West Wing of the White House, there is present the office of the president and all the offices of the senior staff offices. We may also the rooms of almost fifty in counting there those are all reserved for the employees. In this West Wing of the White House, there is also Cabinet rooms are also present, where the president holds the business meetings.
East Wing
The East Wing of the White House that has all the important and necessary office places was included in the White House in the year of 1942.In this East wing, there are offices and the staff offices of the First Lady, and there are also offices of the social offices.
