Degree audit difficulties

“I initially expected my advisers to know what everything would be,” said Noah Gillespie, a senior dual majoring in law and social thought and economics. “I mean, they are the people for their programs, they [should] know how [auditing should] work [in their program].”
Gillespie said he had to go to John Klear, academic adviser for graduation evaluation in the College of Arts and Sciences office, for answers.
“I can imagine that a lot of [students] are running around a lot of different places trying to find the person who actually has the final answer,” Gillespie said.
David Wilson, associate professor and faculty adviser in political science, has come across students experiencing problems receiving a complete audit.
“This has really touched a nerve, and I think it has touched the nerve of a substantial number of students,” Wilson said.
